The main room
Reformer Pilates
Nine Reformer beds in one quiet room. Seven of them have a screen at the foot.
A Reformer is a padded bed on rails held by springs. You push it away and control it back, so your muscles work in both directions and the bed never lets you cheat. Low impact, full body, and the same machine suits a first timer and someone who trains every day.
- With a teacher — an instructor sets your springs and fixes your form as you go
- On your own — book a bed, press play, and a teacher on the screen talks you through it
- One to one — an hour built around your back, your hip, your sport or your pregnancy
Recovery
Infrared cabin
Heat that leaves the air cool.
A far infrared cabin runs at around 60°C where a traditional sauna needs about 85°C. The panels warm you rather than the air, so you sweat without sitting in something stifling.
Recovery
Red light therapy bed
A full body bed, two wavelengths, clothes off or on.
You lie in a bed lined with red and near infrared LEDs for a set number of minutes. We describe what the machine does and nothing more: any claim about what light does to a body needs a device registered with the MHRA behind it.
Recovery
Hyperbaric oxygen chamber
Sit, breathe, read your phone.
A sealed chamber that raises the air pressure around you while you breathe oxygen. You sit in it fully clothed for a booked session. If you have any heart, ear or lung condition, speak to your GP before you book.
Recovery
Compression boots
Twenty minutes with your legs up.
Boots that inflate and release in sequence from the ankle upwards, with vibration and light built in. The thing athletes put on after a long run, now a twenty minute booking rather than a kit bag you have to own.
Women’s health
Pelvic floor chair
You sit on it fully clothed.
An electromagnetic chair you sit on for a booked session, used for pelvic floor work. We make no claim about what it treats. If you are pregnant, recently postnatal, or managing a condition, talk to your GP, midwife or a pelvic health physio first.
Hands on
The physio room
A treatment room on site.
Down the hall from the studio, so the person who can put hands on you and the machine that trains you sit in the same building. That is rarer than it sounds.
The front of the building
Coffee bar and lounge
Sofas, tables, wifi and a plug.
Coffee is the first thing you smell when you walk in. Train at 8am, answer your email at 9, and never go home in between. A workout you look forward to is a workout you keep doing.
Take it with you
reef kit
Bottles, socks and towels.
Grip socks are the one thing every beginner forgets, so they are on the counter. Branded bottles and towels too, for the people who want the building to come home with them.
